P.S. ReillyP.S. Reilly is a noted expert on achieving commercial success in emerging market areas. In her various roles over the last two decades, she has provided interim management, merger and acquisitions, financing and business development support to a number of emerging and established technology firms. For the last decade, she has been focused on energy technologies and related industries, and has a reputation as a thought leader in a number of specific energy sectors. Prior to founding Athena and SGB Ventures, she served as the Vice President of Emerging Markets for Ziff Davis, then the largest technology media firm in the United States. In that role, she lead internal strategic initiatives around new business development, review selected acquisitions, oversaw research activities, and provided advice to key Ziff-Davis clients on product and company positioning for market success. Previously she served as an Investing Manager and Entrepreneure in Residence to WRF Capital, an evergreen venture fund focused on building start-up opportunities from research in labs and universities. There she reviewed opportunities, structured deals, and provided intensive portfolio support to help get investments successfully to market. Beyond work with emerging companies, she is world-class strategist and has been called on by Fortune 50 companies, governments, and others to manage strategy development, customer acquisition, and partnering. Reilly holds a PhD (ABD) in corporate strategy and innovation adoption from the University of Washington.


Scott Milburn Scott Milburn focuses on strategic management advisory services, strategic alliance development, and mergers & acquisitions for companies in the convergence of smart and green energy solutions. He joined SGB with more than 25 years experience in business, law, finance, and technology. After 18 years of practicing law in general business and commercial litigation, including four years at the US Department of Justice, Scott left his partnership at Preston Gates & Ellis to join AdRelevance, Inc., as VP of Business Development and Operations. Upon the successful sale of AdRelevance, he joined Webforia, Inc., as VP of International Business Development, and Managing Director of the Webforia Partners venture fund. Scott went on to be a founder of the Convergent Technology Group, and then spent three years leading the business and market development efforts for Reality Response, a subsidiary of Advanced Interactive Systems, Inc. Scott earned his JD from the T.C Williams School of Law, University of Richmond in Virginia. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.


Gary WeissGary Weiss has more than 20 years experience as an entrepreneur, operator, and managing director of energy technology companies (both demand-side and supply-side), industrial technology companies, and mechanical contracting/facility management companies. He has an extensive background in both risk management and knowledge management (operations research), as well as a proven track record of successfully growing small, entrepreneurial companies to successful exits. Previously, Gary was founder and CEO of Integrated Process Technologies, LLC, an energy services company that grew from six to 160 employees before becoming the Integrated Asset Management division of Enron Energy Services Risk Management, which he led for two years, managing approximately 550 employees and $250 million in demand-side energy management contracts. Gary is a managing partner of Blue Hill Partners, an investment firm focused on building a portfolio of companies in the Advanced Energy and Industrial technology sector, and Managing Member of Total Energy Technologies.

Gary has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a registered Professional Engineer throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, a U.S. Patent Holder, and he currently has a U.S. Business Method Patent Pending for a financial tool that extends the Black-Scholes valuation model to Real Options (e.g., energy-consuming assets), which allows the monetization of future potential energy savings.
